For You, The Moon
You’ve been here so long.
You must be so tired, yet you carry on with me in tow.
Even with all the psychologist visits and the medication and the whirlwind of suicide attempts. All the angry words directed at you. You called me every night knowing that at night my demons come out to play.
How many tears have wet your shoulders? How much trouble have I gotten you in?
I just want you to know that all this struggle, all this pain, was for you.
I promised you that I would get better. That all this would come to a happily ever after.
I will fix me.
And we can get married, make a home, have kids, and get old.
In exchange for your kindness and your patience, I will give you the rest of my life.
